Leopard - Work in Progress

At long last I have started to assemble my leopard.
The first stage was to transfer the design onto the background fabric. In this case it is the leopard fabric before the spots are added. I roughly cut round the shape and stuck it onto a large frame so that I could keep it flat and it wouldn’t take up all the table space!



I’m now in the process of adding the spots. These are cut out of little pattern pieces I make from the spots on the master drawing. Each spot is numbered on the pattern and on the drawing.
It has become obvious that I will have to put more colours onto the face behind the spots to make him more realistic so some of the spots will have to come off again while I do this! More soon.
